Okay, Barre Bees are nearing the end of week 3 of the Get Hot for Summer Challenge. At this point, participants need to congratulate themselves on getting to the halfway point in their challenge!
Relish in the fact that you’re now feeling stronger
and more flexible
Everyone enrolled in the challenge has been doing a great job, and deserves recognition for their work and perseverance.
So, now it’s time to start talking about scientific concepts that were learned at some point in your standard K-12 education, (now possibly a little bit fuzzy). Remember the law of inertia?
Currently, inertia is working in our favor – everyone has been continuing to actively work towards achieving summer fitness goals. This means that we need to allow ourselves to continue “staying in motion,” and maybe spur ourselves on towards slightly greater momentum. Knowing that you’re already doing a great job, challenge yourself to do something a little bit extra this week.
Squeeze in an extra class. Maybe now’s the time to try a bardio class if you have never taken one before. Maybe you cut out one of your favorite junk foods this week, and insist on eating a healthy substitute.
The important thing is to continue “staying in motion.” Do not let yourself backslide. You’re doing an amazing job, and you are capable of anything. So give yourself an extra little push this week, and continue to earn the fabulous results you are going to show off at the end of week 6!
